All guitar and bass makers dream of a clean sheet of paper. A chance to create an instrument that embodies their finest thinking disregarding the demands of mass production. For the makers of Vigier, the dream came true. Over the course of 20 years we've devoted thousand of hours to rethinking literally every aspect of the guitar and bass to create the most thorough definition of what makes an expensive guitar and bass worth that expense.
This advanced and exclusive concept revolving around the recent developments in carbon fiber technology has allowed us to produce a "neck through body" system where taking the place of the traditional metal truss rod is only 10% carbon fiber surrounded by 90% French maple. Our breakthrough is the result of a new formula that produces a denser, more concentrated blend of carbon fiber that allows us to use far less of the material. For guitar players, this means the natural feel of French maple combined with all the obvious benefits of carbon fiber technology. Vigier instruments utilizing the 10/90 Neck System are lightweight and moreover have the strength, stability, sustain, and lack of dead spots that you wouldn't expect to find in a conventional wooden neck design.
Its physical strength and stability offer excellent friction and wear resistance, high response, plus neat and accurate fretting.
Fitted on all Vigier instruments, it is a slightly higher fret that assures perfect string height and low first fret action.

Made of mother of pearl they are fitted as standard. As an option phosphorescent fingerboard position markers are available for ease of playing in darkened performing environments.
Carved from aged French alder and maple, both standing and sitting the body is lightweight, perfectly balanced, and extremely comfortable.
This model is fitted with high quality Schaller machine heads and strap lock, as well as a Kahler Double Locking Tremolo.
This tremolo combines several innovations and refinements that distinguish it from the
tremolo as you know it. The saddles are held in place with six adjustable cylinders to
replace conventional screws and springs so that no sustain absorbing vibrations can occur.
Each saddle pivots upwards to facilitate easy string change.
Each string can be locked into its bridge saddle and be individually adjusted for height
and intonation. Our specially designed tremolo arm rocks the whole bridge downwards and is
tensioned to stop it from swinging. To prevent string tuning problems, we provide a lock
nut with three screws to lock the string at the level of the zero fret and six precise
adjustments for fine tuning.
For guitarists who like to rest their hand on the bridge, the lock nut is located away
from the playing position for comfort and to prevent detuning. Two springs are employed.
One under the body to balance the strings while the other spring is situated under the
base of the bridge to cushion the upward bends. Instead of using the knife edge principle,
the bridge pivots on ball bearings to give you a feel of ease and precision on upward and
downward bends and bring back the tremolo to its original position every time. The pivot
point of the saddles are in line with the string break-point. This means only minimal
string height change to avoid the string choking on the frets when bending the tremolo.
String changing is easy. Vigier tremolos come equipped with Allen keys that are
conveniently fastened behind the headstock.
The Passion guitar is set with one humbucker and two single-coils in the middle and neck position. To avoid unwanted feedback, the humbucker is mounted solidly with four screws and is adjustable for height and tilt. The humbucker, on the Passion with active electronics, has pole pieces made from supermalloy metal and the coils are individually wound directly on the pole pieces to give you a wide frequency response, high output, and excellent separation between the notes within a chord. The Passion with passive electronic is equipped with Seymour Duncan pickups.
Comprised of active electronic circuitry this model features : a push/pull master volume (pulled it engages the middle pickup), a three position pickup selector switch to activate the bridge and treble pickup, a six position rotary tone control (five preset parametric EQ settings the sixth bypasses the parametric) and is powered by two 9 volt alkaline batteries with an autonomy of approximately 500 playing hours. For those guitar players who are not fond of active electronics this model is also available passive.
A recessed jack socket has been fitted to keep your cable behind the strap for security and easy access to the output. The electronics are equipped with an internal preamp to convert the pickups output from high to low impedance. This helps you to maintain the same grain of tone without any loss of treble and very little noise despite cable length, number of effects, or volume position.
This model incorporates all the advanced features found on the custom model along with double binding around the edges of the body to highlight its silhouette.
Vigier guitar strings are fitted as standard.
